Is Darling free?
Yes. You can create a profile, get your best matches every day, like, Super Like and chat for free. Basic and Premium unlock more matches, unlimited chat, videos, lives and group dating.
How does the AI matching work?
Darling turns your bio, prompts and interests into a picture of your personality and values, then compares it with people who fit your preferences for age, distance and gender. Things like your name, age and location are used only as filters, never to judge compatibility. Every match comes with a short explanation of why you two might click.
Why can't I share my phone number straight away?
To protect you from scammers and pushy matches. Phone numbers, emails and social handles unlock after you've been chatting for 14 days. By then you know whether you want to take it further.
How do I pay for Premium?
Inside the app, tap Premium, choose weekly or monthly and confirm the M-Pesa prompt on your phone. Plans don't auto-renew. You choose when to top up.
What is group dating?
Premium members can create and join groups around shared interests, chat together, plan events and meet in real life with less pressure than a one-on-one first date.
How do I delete my account?
In the app go to Profile → Delete account, or use our account deletion page. Your profile disappears immediately and your data is erased for good after 90 days.
Who can join?
Darling is for adults aged 18 and over. We're live in Nairobi first, with more cities coming soon.
